The Perfect Family Vacation
Family vacations can always be fun especially when it comes to hanging out on the beach or spending time with your loved ones, but it can also be a mess if things get out of order and not planned accordingly! Haha!
Planning is key when it comes to having a successful vacation because you never know what can go wrong, so you at least want a plan B and not the medicated kind but an actual plan B if things don’t work out.
Back in August, I was hired to do a week meal prep for a big family that was going on vacation to enjoy the beach. I created breakfast, lunch and dinner for them, which they highly enjoyed!
This gave them more time to spend with their loved ones instead of spending like 10 plus hours in the kitchen trying to figure out what to eat, cook or clean, which would have been an extra headache with no Tylenol available! Haha!
Here are some highlights
1) When I left to let the family handle serving the food because they told me that they had it under control, it really turned out to be a partial disaster because when I came back the next day to prepare more food, one of the teens told me that they was suffering without me because they had a hard time getting the food ready to serve, which I believe it was because of technical difficulties due to 2024 new kitchen appliances that most of us are probably not quite familiar with using.
2)When I brought family over to meet my clients family, my daughter wanted to sit with the teens outside and took one of the teen’s chair. At that time she was only 2 years old going on 12! She almost fit in with the teens too! Oh look how fast shes growing! :)
3) I remember I made them this delicious dessert called Spanish Churros with ice cream topped with caramel rum, and it was only one churro left! Leonard said he was going to eat the last one. He had his eyes set on it as if he could pick up that last churro with his eyes and eat it out of thin air, but he had to walk me out because I was leaving. When he came back in to get that last churro, it was gone! We wasn’t even outside for 5 minutes, so that means the churro was gone as soon as he turned his back! Haha!
Well, I guess someone had their eyes set on that last churro harder than he did just like this eagle! Haha!
4) When the parents and teens had technical difficulties with taking pictures! We were trying to take the quote on quote “perfect” family and chef pictures because everyone was told to move to the left, right, front and back as if we was in aerobics class! Haha! It had turned out to be the “Perfect Picture Debate”. Don’t worry it wasn’t like the political ones you see on your local news stations!
Eventually, we took some great pictures eventhough my phone ended up with about 100 photos that I still have to erase til this day, and I probably have enough space for only two more selfies due to our “Perfect Picture” saga! Haha!
4) When we all took group pictures was a great highlight and seeing everyone enjoyin the food and vacation with their loved ones. I even felt like I was part of their family, which they said that I am now!!
Thank you Leonard and his wife for putting this together for your family, which made this the perfect family vacation.
